Whereas St. Nicholas would reward children who'd been good all year with small gifts and treats, those that had behaved badly were paid a visit by the Krampus!
All images are culled from vintage, pre-WWI Krampus postcards found in Monte Beauchamp's two Krampus books, Krampus, the Devil of Christmas, and The Devil in Design: the Krampus Postcards, which started the Krampus craze that is sweeping America.
